INDOOR USE
Sway Swings is designed primarily for indoor use and dry environments. It may also be installed in semi-covered spaces such as verandas or terraces.
To preserve the quality of the materials, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and high humidity.
The leather seat should be maintained using standard care methods for leather upholstery. For more information, please refer to Care & Use.
SET INCLUDES
One wooden and leather seat, two high-tenacity suspension straps designed for interior ceiling heights of 8 ft (2.45 m), 8.5 ft (2.60 m), or 9 ft (2.75 m), and two metal carabiners.
Ceiling hooks and other mounting hardware are not included and must be purchased separately from specialized hardware stores.
SAFE CLEARANCE AREA
To safely enjoy your Sway Swings, we recommend allowing enough space for the natural swinging motion.
Front and back: 2–4 ft (60–120 cm) of clearance for the pendulum movement.
Sides: 1–2 ft (30–60 cm) of lateral clearance.
Front and back: 2 to 4 feet (60 to 120 cm.) pendular area.
Sides: 1 to 2 feet (30 to 60 cm.) lateral area.

For safety, we recommend having your swing installed by a qualified contractor or handyman to ensure proper installation and safe enjoyment.
INSTALLATION CONSIDERATIONS
Install the swing only on solid structural supports, such as reinforced concrete, solid wood beams, or steel beams, using appropriate anchors and ceiling hooks. Ensure the “U” opening of the ceiling hooks is aligned parallel to the direction of the swing’s motion for proper installation.

The seat height should ideally be 20 to 23 inches (50–60 cm) from the floor to ensure a comfortable seating position.

The spacing between the hooks must be 22 inches (56 cm), measured center to center.
- Once the ceiling or beam hooks are properly installed, the swing can be hung.
- Attach each carabiner to the high-tenacity polyester strap, adjusting the position according to your ceiling height.
- Sway Swings are designed to fit three standard residential ceiling heights: 8 ft (2.45 m), 8.5 ft (2.60 m), and 9 ft (2.75 m). For higher ceilings, extension straps or chains may be used.
- Each carabiner should be attached to the corresponding loop on the strap based on the height of your ceiling.
- Position the carabiners with the larger diameter ring facing downward to provide a wider contact surface with the straps.

COMMON INSTALLATION SCENARIOS

Concrete ceiling A professional installer can mount two stainless steel ceiling hooks with four fixing holes each, using expansion anchors to securely fasten the bolts into the concrete ceiling.

Suspended ceiling A professional installer must access the structural concrete ceiling above the suspended ceiling to install two extension hooks that allow the swing to hang safely below the suspended ceiling.
The extension hooks should be mounted using expansion anchors to securely fasten them into the concrete structure.
Once installed, the swing can be hung from the lower end of the extension hooks, extending below the suspended ceiling.

Wood Beam Ceiling Hooks A professional installer should mount two stainless steel circular ceiling hooks (with four fixing holes each) directly onto the wooden beam or truss.
The hooks must be secured using wood lag bolts or through-bolts, ensuring a strong and reliable attachment to the wooden structure of the house for safe suspension of the swing.

Wood Using Camping Strap Extenders A professional installer should access the wooden beam or truss and wrap two camping hammock extension straps securely around the beam.
The carabiners included in the kit can then be attached to the straps.
Once the strength and stability of the installation have been properly checked, the swing can be hung from the carabiners at the desired height.

Metal Beam or Truss A professional installer should mount two stainless steel circular ceiling hooks (with four fixing holes each) directly onto the metal beam or truss.
The hooks must be secured using metal bolts or steel through-bolts, ensuring a strong and reliable attachment to the metal structure for the safe suspension of the swing.

SAFETY & MAXIMUM LOAD
All straps and stitching used in the construction of the swing have been tensile strength tested at the INTI – National Institute of Industrial Technology, confirming their suitability for this application and establishing a maximum safe load of 330 lbs (150 kg).
